Jake Heggie returns with an all-star cast of spectacular guest performers for our annual fundraising concert. Jake is writing a special piece of music for NVCM to dedicate the new window at the Ministry – Join us for a fabulous evening of masterful music, delicious drinks and fantastic food as we celebrate 25 years of Noe Valley Chamber Music!

Frederica von Stade, one of the world’s most beloved opera stars, is the featured guest artist for Noe Valley Chamber Music’s 25th Anniversary Gala on Sunday, April 22 at Noe Valley Ministry. Hailed by The New York Times as “one of America’s finest artists and singers,” von Stade will be joined by three magnificent mezzos Catherine CookLaura Krumm, and Renée Rapier for a dazzling program of music by Mahler, Strauss, Schumann, Bernstein, Brahms and San Francisco’s own world renowned composer Jake Heggie, who will be the pianist for the program. Violinist Dawn Harms and the Rhythm Sisters String Quartet, along with special guest Anita Orne, musical saw, will be in the mix as well. Rounding out this all-star cast will be internationally-acclaimed pianist Jon Kimura Parker and violist Aloysia Friedmann. The evening will be highlighted by the world premiere of a new piece dedicating the stained glass window at the venue.

The event starts at 6pm with a cocktail hour and a live auction. Attendees will have the opportunity to win an array of wines, vacations, restaurants, spa treatments and more. The concert begins at 7:30pm and will be followed by an elegant dessert reception, and an opportunity to meet the artists.

All proceeds benefit Noe Valley Chamber Music and go towards bringing live music concerts to local audiences.
