- What: Noe Valley Uncorked Wine Event featuring Argentinean wine
- When: Friday, April 30, 2010 from 6pm-9pm
- Where: Noe Valley Ministry, 1021 Sanchez Street
Ticket prices: $35 at the door. Tickets available in advance at 24th Street Cheese, The Ark, Noe Valley Ministry, and the Farmer's Market.
Enjoy wine, food, and music of Argentina. Sample over a dozen wines, including many of Argentina’s finest such as Luca, Mendel, Tikal, Crios, LaPosta, and Mapema. Come talk with the experts, nibble on tasty hors d’oeuvres, and order your favorite wines. Proceeds benefit Noe Valley Ministry.
Did you know that Argentina is the world's 5th largest wine producer, ranking only behind France, Italy, Spain, and the US? Did you know that Malbec is Argentina's signature red wine grape and one of the five major red Bordeaux grape varieties? Malbec was first grown in southwestern France, and was at one time the most prized wine of France (yes, even more than Bordeaux).
